This is custom shobu-zukuri tanto forged from AISI 1075 steel and traditionally heat-treated using clay and water.  It was mounted in Shira-saya at customer request, and given a full traditional polish by Brandon Thell.  the blade features a high-shinogi design (tapered bevel to spine) and an iori mune.  The copper habaki was fabricated by myself, not cast.  The nagasa is approximately 11.5".
